News release: EDI Implementation Specialist joins SalesPad’s growing team
SalesPad hires Marlene Tate to bring EDI expertise to implementation team; Tate brings over 15 years of industry experience
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – SalesPad, a Grand Rapids-based software company, today announced Marlene Tate has joined their team as an EDI Implementation Specialist.
“A big part of our success at SalesPad is hiring talented individuals who bring unique perspectives and skills to our team,” said Matt Williams, SalesPad’s President and Co-Founder. “Marlene’s insights and industry knowledge will be extremely valuable to our team, clients and overall growth of SalesPad. EDI is already playing a huge role in the direction of, not only our software product and company, but of the entire distribution industry as a whole. Marlene will be vital in bringing that industry knowledge to our customers, as well as advocating on their behalf for improvements and innovation to our current product offering.”
As an EDI Implementation Specialist, Tate will oversee implementation of EDI functionality in coordination with SalesPad’s integration partner SPS Commerce. Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) allows a company to electronically send item information to an online retailer and to send order information from an online retailer to the company fulfilling the order. EDI allows businesses to sell their products through the online stores of big-box retailers such as Walmart, Target and Best Buy. Working with the software implementation team, Tate will help new and existing SalesPad clients add EDI functionality to their ERP system.
Tate brings 15 years of experience in business systems analysis and support. Prior to joining SalesPad, Tate was the Database Coordinator for Hart & Cooley, Inc., an EDI Analyst for Middleville Tool & Die and User Acceptance Testing Coordinator at Mercy Health Saint Mary’s. Tate is currently pursuing a degree in Computer Information Systems from Western Michigan University.
“SalesPad is leading the way in helping companies of all sizes manage their inventory, process orders and distribute their products,” said Tate. “It’s gratifying to be part of a company that’s empowering businesses to increase their productivity while saving money, and I’m looking forward to bringing my experience to the implementation team.”
