SalesPad Desktop’s Spring Update Adds Card-Present Processing, Sales Promos, More EDI
SalesPad Desktop version 4.6.0 is out, with enhanced functionality keyed on card-present processing, sales promotions, and more EDI documents.
The enhancements in the latest release of the premier add-on for Microsoft Dynamics GP include increased card-present and EMV support; sales line item and document promotions creation; additionally supported EDI documents; the adding of audit history for inventory lookups and adjustments; and full integration of Microsoft Dynamics GP 2016 R2. SELL TO WALK-IN CUSTOMERS WITH CARD PRESENT AND EMV SUPPORT
Since early 2016, SalesPad has partnered with Nodus Technologies to integrate SalesPad Desktop with Nodus PayFabric for credit card processing. Before this release, payments were limited to card-not-present. In 4.6.0, the functionality has been expanded to include card-present processing and EMV support for credit cards with chips. With the ability to take credit cards on hand, Desktop’s counter sales module functions like a point-of-sale application for walk-in customers.
CUSTOMIZE SALES LINE ITEM PROMOTIONS
Increase sales by setting up promotions or discounts on specific line items. For example, buy three widgets and get a fourth widget free. The added functionality in 4.6.0 is easy to set up, automatically recognizing and notifying SalesPad users who are processing qualified orders.
GENERATE PROMOTIONAL CODES AND RULES
Where sales line item promotions pertain to discounts on individual line items, sales document promotions allow offering promotions and discounts for whole transactions. Auto generate unique coupon codes and set specific rules that must be met for coupons to qualify (i.e. 10 percent off orders of $500 or more). Make certain special deals and offerings get used on transactions entirely, and add up to more customers.
GAIN MORE VISIBILITY INTO INVENTORY CHANGES
Similar to the audit functionality found in SalesPad Desktop, 4.6.0 brings audit history to inventory lookups and adjustments. Gain insights on who is making changes to inventory items, as well as the quantities being adjusted. Keep calm, maintain control, and quickly find out why when things go awry.
AUTOMATE PURCHASE ORDERS AND 3PL FULFILLMENT THROUGH EDI
With SalesPad’s integration to SPS Commerce, seamlessly accept and process EDI orders from online retailers and trading partners directly in SalesPad Desktop. The 4.6.0 release brings additional supported EDI documents. Adding purchase order 850 (out) to the pre-existing 850 (in) allows purchase orders to move into SalesPad Desktop from a trading partner and out to one of your vendors to acquire new inventory. Utilizing warehouse shipping order 940 (out) and warehouse shipment advice 945 (out) gives users leveraging third-party logistics providers the ability to push sales orders to their external warehouse(s) for fulfillment.
BUILD OUT DETAILED OPPORTUNITIES
Previously, opportunities in SalesPad Desktop only tracked the total dollar amount of potential deals. With 4.6.0’s release, sales representatives can now build out specific line items from inventory within each opportunity. When an opportunity moves to a quote, items also carry over with it.
IMPORT KIT INFORMATION EFFICIENTLY
Set up a template and import any kit details into SalesPad Desktop using Import Manager, which allows importing information from external files such as Excel spreadsheets or CSV file.
MICROSOFT DYNAMICS GP 2016 R2 SUPPORT
The release of 4.6.0 means full support for Microsoft Dynamics GP 2016 R2.
